Todays front page of The San Diego Union-Tribune seemed pretty bland in my opinion. There were only 2 images and they were both centered, leaving a lot of gray bordering the page. The page is not balanced enough with photos. The centerpiece is very interesting, and similar to the story printed before, this features a Marine officer's face cropped. However, in this case, I don't find it to be disrespectful. The teasers don't refer to other stories within the paper, but rather how many stars newly-released movies received. This doesn't seem like a way to invite readers into the rest of the newspaper.
